Noble Engineering Limited is a small engineering company specialising in bespoke fabrication work, and installation, for a variety of developments and projects throughout the UK.

In liaison with landscape architects, architects, developers and home owners, modern fabrication methods; as well as the skills of the traditional blacksmith, are used to produce high quality metalwork in the commercial and private sector for security and landscape projects.

Noble Engineering’s workforce is highly skilled and qualified, with many years’ experience of working metal. With our skills base we manufacture using both modern welding and traditional blacksmithing techniques.

Noble Engineering Limited started manufacturing “wrought ironwork” with the express intention of making the modern fabrication look (as far as possible) like it had been produced by a blacksmith. Wherever possible and by employing modern methods of manufacture, any welded assembly is finally produced so the weld is not seen, however, this does not compromise structural integrity.

The term “wrought ironwork” has evolved and changed to now describe any form of fabricated steelwork for decorative and security purposes. Originally, wrought ironwork was manufactured by blacksmiths using a particular form of iron. This iron had many distinct qualities. Evolution dictated a change in the structural performance of iron and so modern steels were born. Steels have lost the distinct qualities of iron and are not easily worked using blacksmith techniques.

Wrought ironwork of today is commonly an assembly of mass produced steel items which are welded together to form a finished structure. More often than not the method of manufacture is all too obvious, where the welded joints are easily visible.

Our attention to detail and subsequent high quality produces something which is both pleasing to the eye and crisp in detail and ensures our work doesn’t detract from the quality of the associated high-end developments we are associated with.
